Here we are again on another Chicopee ski adventure. This time “Middle Aged Balding Ski Dad” has a few more “support team” members (aka parents) along for the fun! However, none have yet risen to challenge and donned a skin suit “two sizes too small”!
We are at Craigleith with nine of our K1 racers attending the Podborski Speed Camp followed by the Podborski Cup race on Friday. Coach Kris and Coach Erica have the K1 racers outfitted with the “big boards”, Super G skies!
We also have a squad of four Nancy Greeners attending an Alpine Ontario GS camp here as well. A whole lotta speed demons on the hill!
Coach Kris gets the nod today for top contributor.
Last night the store front window at OW Sports was smashed in at around 2:00am. Kris was a bit perplexed. The “perp” went to the trouble of smashing his storefront window, but neglected to take any inventory. Had to be a snowboarder!
Kris was up all night dealing with the damage to his store; however he still made it up to Collingwood and put in a full day on the hill with our racers. That rates a solid “Atta Boy”! Thank you for your dedication Coach Kris!
The only picture I managed today at the hill was of all the delinquent parents who “hooked off” work to spend some midweek ski time with the racers! Regrettably, the picture is on another parent’s camera and she is already in bed. Employers can look forward to the evidence being posted tomorrow!
